Richard H. Janovitz, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician and a founding partner of Family Medical Center in the SoDo District. For over 40 years, Dr. Janovitz has brought comprehensive care and developed long-lasting relationships with families in the Orlando, Florida, area.
Dr. Janovitz grew up in Ohio before receiving his Bachelor of Science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and completed his internship and residency at Tallahassee Regional Medical Center in Florida. Dr. Janovitz is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Over the past four decades working at Family Medical Center, Dr. Janovitz has created strong and enduring relationships with his patients and their families. He treats both chronic conditions and acute symptoms in patients of all ages. Dr. Janovitz offers well-woman exams, various types of testing, and minor surgeries for skin issues.
In his free time, Dr. Janovitz enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and four grandchildren. He and his wife, Renee, also enjoy a good travel adventure and have visited many countries over the years including China, Israel, and parts of Africa and Southeast Asia. He is also enthusiastic about the outdoors, skiing, and running, and when traveling, he engages in memorable experiences, such as white water rafting and zip-lining.
